Coincidence New World

The USS Nebula is chasing an unusual comet, contains natural chroniton particles. However, since the comet is in a state of temporal flux, it often disappears and appears further than its original location. Science officer reports that it is travelling faster, even though it looks as though it is travelling at sub-light.

The comet takes them past Federation space, into an unknown and uncharted parts of space and the comet brought them to a new solar system.
